i just started going out with this guy and were both really shy so things are a bit akward. Can anyone give me some advice on how to make it not as akward or help me to become a little less shy ?

So if you talk more, be more social then more than likely awkward wont even be in your mind. Try to laugh it off when you are with him. He wants to have a nice time with you. And you cant if you guys both look at each other in puzzled faces right? So just enjoy his company. Do something daring like french-kiss him. Or something. Just smile at him. Go places together. The more you open up the better things will be for you guys. Think of subjects to talk about, ask him questions. Alls be nice. Never think negative. The more you are around him the more you will get used to him and it will be better for the two of you. Just have a nice convorsation and let it flow. Trust me if you do all the above things wont even have the word awkard for you and your guy that you are going out with!

And try and make an effort when you're with him by starting a conversation that may interest him so there wouldnt be any awkward silences. But, there's always going to be times in your relationship where its awkward and nothing to talk about, but that's normal and you shouldnt worry about it.
