its only rude to cross your legs while sitting if an older person is sitting infron of you.Its disrespect to the older person because your foot can be pointing at them.If its all young people your sitting with then i guess its ok.

Unless youre doing something formal, like if oyure at a dinner party or a bar mitzvah or something, whatever. no one really cares.

Usually its rude for a girl to cross her legs. And not really good too. But its only considered if you are wearing a skirt, or a dress then you would cross your legs or maybe something short. Other than that I wouldnt do it.
