You may or may not have contracted herpes. There's no way for anyone on this site to tell you. You have to go to a clinic and get tested immediately (many do testing for free)..maybe planned parenthood.., while the dots are still there. They will take a swab from the sores and test for herpes..make sure you go immediately before the dots disappear.
From what I understand, herpes sores are usually painful, but not necessarily itchy. But to be safe, get it checked out. It could be something else..or nothing at all. Only a physician can tell--it seems that you're really worried about this, so just in case, you should get tested for other STDs as well.

It is most likely a rash of some sort. In a sensitive area its best to see a doctor if it doesn't go away. Medicated or even plain old powder would help.

Here are the symptoms of genital herpes.

Painful sores (blisters) on the genitals of both sexes, thighs, or buttocks

Tingling, and itching

Fever (often only with the first outbreak of blisters)

Flu-like symptoms (headache, muscle ache, fever, chills, fatigue)

Painful urination

Painful sex

Tender, enlarged lymph nodes in the groin
