driving me crazy
ok i just got the new sims 2 game. i have it all on my computer and installed and all that jazz. i got to Veronaville and it says that the neighborhood is loading but its taken forever like probably 30min-and hour and i have tried it 3 times to restart it. so what am i doing wrong? or what do i do next? or does it take reallly long?

I've had the Sims 2 on two computers and the same thing happened. It's probably that your computer is running background tasks- hit CTRL+ALT+DELETE twice to get rid of them (it's the second tab, i think).
Even if it doesn't freeze, it will take a really long time. It's a complex program that has a lot of stuff it needs to load. Believe me, it's worth the wait.

hey, well maybe your game is defective. when i used to play the sims 2 mine never did that. go back to the store where you got it from and explain the problem. ask for a refund and see if that game is any different. if its the same, maybe your computer isnt compatiable with the game. on the box that the game comes in, there should be a list of things like windows xp or windows 98. those are the ones that work BEST with the game. try to update your computer if you really really want the game to work if it still doesnt after getting a new one.
