don't really like him
whenever i find a boy DOES like me, it always seems like they are the ones i don't like! i always find something wrong with them. this is going to sound stupid, but there's a boy in my grade who i don't know well but i have always had a feeling he likes me (he compliments me, trys to startup convos, etc.) i don't have anything against him, and i think he's nice...but sort of awkward...like not totally sure of himself). he is also sort of emo punkish...not usually my type (like he likes screamo music, etc.) it's just not really my thing. i don't know what to do...whenever i am at home i think "oh well maybe i'll give him a chance", but as soon as i see him i change my mind & feel all awkward. what should i do?!?!

Man, I've been in your position before and it sucks. Something that might help is to talk to him online (gmail, yahoo, msn, aim, etc.). Since you only think that at home, then talking to him at home, and not literally to his face, might help.

hey, well you cant force yourself to like someone and its certainly not fair to anyone to pretend that you like them. just try getting to know this guy as a friend before anything more. if you can build a solid friendship, than maybe its time to give it a chance as a relationship. tell him that tho. tell him that you want to just try to be strictly friends before being in a relationship. if he cares about you enough, he will respect your descision =].
