i was just wondering. is there anyone on this website that wears pads instead of tampons? cause i've tried so many times and read the directions but i just couldnt put a tampon in. also if you wear pads do you play sports? cause i do and i wear pads and i wanna know if its bad. i think its really uncomfortable though. thankss.
I've never worn a tampon before cos I think I'd feel really insecure since I won't know if my tampon is overloaded and what if it gets stuck inside and refuse to come out?
S_C answered Friday March 23 2007, 5:30 pm: Even though I think they're uncomfortable I wear pads just because tampons bug the crap out of me. I've played sports while wearing pads, it's not very comfortable, tampons are a lot nicer for sports. Especially because tampons stay in place - perfectly, there's no where for them to move. When I play sports it usually seems as if the pad shifts and I'm always afraid that I'm going to leak.
You'll probably be better of trying to use a tampon, at least for sports. Get some type of lubricant for the first few times to make it easier to get them tampon in and hopefully it will work. It's not impossible to use pads while playing a sport (depending on the sport, you didn't mention what you play) but it's sooo much nicer to wear a tampon for sports.
I realize I kind of just babbled on, but I hope you get what I'm saying. Tampons in my opinion suck except when it comes to sports and excercising. [ S_C's advice column | Ask S_C A Question ]

totally agree with the ladies below me :] tampons are SO much better, girl. seriously. once you figure out how to work it, you will be like, "omg, this is the best invention ever."
for the first time, i strongly suggest you really really spread out your legs and just stick the plastic applicator REALLY FAR into your vaj. like, you hold the end of the plastic applicator and stick it so far that your fingers touch your vaj (thats how far it SHOULD go in.) i know the first time i put it in i got scared and i thought i was gonna put it in too deep. if you feel it when you walk, you didnt put it in far enough. after you put the plastic applicator all the way in, push the end of the tampon (plastic) up so that the cotton gets pushed out the other end and straight into your vaj.
trust me. put it in farther than you think cause if you dont put it in far enough, you feel it and its REALLY uncomfyy.
you can swim with tampons. you can wear thongs. you dont have to be self-concious in the locker room. you dont smell. no one knows when you have your period. you can move about freely. you dont "feel" the blood pouring onto your pad. the list is endless.
tampons are life.
i hope i helped, and pleeeaseee try tampons, girl! the only reason why people use pads is cause they dont know how to properly use tampons!
THEYRE SO MUCH LESS MESSY TOO! AND THEY NEVER LEAK.
people use TSS as an argument back, but i mean only like 1 in 2309583294032 people get it. and if you change it every 4-6 hours, no worries. tampons make no noise when you take it out of the wrapper (unlike pads) and can fit in your pocket.
bsexebtrubwildbu answered Friday March 23 2007, 5:22 pm: mm well if you play sports and you have your period i highly suggest trying tampons.. i would start with the slim kind.. and they also make sports ones which are a lot more comfortable.. umm as far as learning how to put them in, i cant exactly help you.. umm what i did is i asked my older sister to show me with just a reg. tampon.. like how to put it in, then she told me what to look for and then i went and tried it.. (use a mirror if you need help.. weird i know but it can help) and make sure you get it in far enough too otherwise its not to comfortable
sanderuhh answered Friday March 23 2007, 5:13 pm: I wore pads for a whole year before I switched to tampons and I was in Volleyball, Cheerleading, AND Track. It's really hard to do it without a tampon now that I look at it. Seriously, find a female that can show you how to work a tampon. I promise there's no adult who's going to think you're weird for asking. I didn't know how to put one in either, I thought the plastic stayed on it while it was inside of me. Tampons are much more conveniant. Pinky swear. :] [ sanderuhh's advice column | Ask sanderuhh A Question ]
connieconfused answered Friday March 23 2007, 5:13 pm: I didn't start wearing tampons til I got to college. I played sports sometimes and I refused to go swimming when I was on my period cause I think it is grose, but that is me. There is a hole in your vagina. I'm not sure if the hole is the vagina, I think the vagina is the whole area but the hole that the penis would go in, it is right below where you urine out of. Take a mirror and look at it, spread your legs open and take a look down there, there's a hole. That is where the tampon goes. Sometimes i take a little vasaline and put on the tampon so it goes in easier, cause i was a virgin when I first used one and it hurt me until i put vasiline on it. ok babe.
