Leaving Gift

Question Posted Thursday March 22 2007, 8:22 am

I didn't see my best friend for like two years when she left to Canada, but she recently visited for two weeks and it was great and everything, but I'm wondering if anyone has any good ideas of something I could make for her or give her to take with her as a memory? I took tons of pictures, and we even have songs now, but I don't know if I should just make her a box with a letter, a CD, and maybe a few gifts in it and some pictures? Does anyone have any ideas or has done anything like this before?

I'm sixteen/f, btw.

You're idea sounds great! i think a scrapbook would work with pictures and just totally decorated to the max. also in the scrapbook, incorpirate the songs too, and have a pocket in the scrapbook with a cd of all the songs that can remind her of you. Also, give her a journal maybe that's personaly made for her, write her a message about your time with her, and then send it to her, and keep sending it back and forith and write all the news from your week and then hers, that way when it becomes full, she can keep it and know everything thats happened with you!

I hope that works, i've done the journal thing with my one of my best friends who moved and it was great!!

the box is a good idea, but you could try a scrapbook, because that insures, that everything stays in one place, in a box, she could lose something when cleaning etc. but its still a good idea. Anything where she can remember you by, is a good idea. nice and personal:)

U know leave things from the past and present so she'll always have something to remeber you buy i hope i helped

I think your idea is really cute. Throw some pictures in there, and get some cute frames from Wal*Mart like the "BEST FRIENDS FOREVER" ones, and put those in the box. And make her a cd of all your songs together. And it seems a little corny, but make friendship bracelets or necklaces. My best friend & me did that. =] We wear them constantly, haha. And buy a few extra gives she might like. =] Sorry that your friend is going back to Canada. I don't know what I'd do if my friend did that. We're like sisters!
