How To Look Pretty

Question Posted Tuesday March 20 2007, 8:49 pm

im 15/f and so. i have a dance next week; a formal one. and i have date.

and i wanna stand out, or look really pretty.

This is usually what i look like at school: i have grayish eyes and i wear black eyeliner and mascara.

What kind of makeup should i wear to the dance.
im part asian so maybe cat eyes might look good... but i dont know...i dont know how to do it. How do I? How can my eyes look super big? and my eyelashes really long? I want my eyes to stand out a lot.

and jewerly, i think im wearing 2 earings cause im doule pierced and a necklace.

Also should i straighten my hair or curl it?
my hair is like straightish wavyish:]

Anything else to make me look better?

THANKS!

you could use a colour on your eyes that will complement your dress e.g. baby pink dress go for a browny colour or blue dress use a similar blue. don't attempt cats eyes unless you're a pro with an eyeliner. also, to make your eyes appear wider and so prettier to guys make the colour darker at the outside corner and don't apply dark shades to the inner corner.
use blusher to give a girly glow and shape your face. you may know what colour suits you but go for pinky or browny not coral shades. smile and apply it to the apples of your cheeks then faintly along just below your cheekbone. build up the colour slowly as you cannot remove it, blusher tends to sit where it first touches your skin. for added emphasis if you like sweep face illuminator along your cheekbones.
on your lips try gloss, again in a brown or pink shade but keep it subtle.

hope this helps,

To make your eyes stand out, put a thick line of eyeliner on your top lid. You can eather use a liquid liner, or pencil but I would perfer the liquid if you're going to do cat eyes. When applying mascara, put more on the outer lashes and that also creates more of the "cat eye" look. "Use an eyeliner brush to dab black eyeshadow along your lash line. It gives allusion for thicker lashes" (Seventeen magazine)

Since it's a dance competition, curl your hair. It will give it more volume and fun to it.

Just be confident and have out there. That will most defenetly stand out and I'm sure you're going to look great.
