i jsut joined the middle school track tema and i did 3 600's today . i had to wlak on the las lap in a half. and i couldnt breath. it felt like someone was gripping my llung making me not able to breath . adn i felt horrible the whole night after. does anyone have any good tips to feel better, adn why is it that i was the only one who felt really really bad ? thanks
chuckweed007 answered Wednesday March 21 2007, 2:43 am: If you just joined, it means that you are just not in as good of shape as everybody else on the team yet. Odds are that every single person on the team felt the exact same way you do when they started. IF you stick with it, eventually you will run as good as them (maybe even better) without feeling so out of shape. One thing to do that will make you feel a little better is after you are done running, take a cooldown lap by walking slowly. If you just plain stop you can get dizzy. As you are walking, put your hands on your hips or on top of your head, this lifts your rib cage and helps your lungs get more air.
