what does play hard to get means? is it like leading someone on?

i am a dood i wld rather know that the girl liked me and then i would rather they played a little hard to get but like them comin over givin me a hug or sumin then i would try to make the next move or sumin.. and sorry if i dont sound to clear i'm not havng a very good time this week lol :(

playing hard to get.. well the meanings pretty much in the name. basically it means your making it hard for the guy to get with you.

Not exactly. Leading someone on means that you are making them believe you have feelings for them when you actually do not. That's a pretty mean thing to do to someone and could really end horribly. I don't reccomend leading anyone on.

Now playing hard to get is a whole new ballgame! It means that you want the person.. they like you and you like them back. You could act like your interested.. but that it doesn't bother you if they don't like you. Flirt with him/her, but also sort of make it seem like they can't get you. Play hard to get. The name says it all. But don't play hard to get for too long, guys (and girls) like a challenege but if it takes them too long to get you, then they'll just give up.
