Okay, so I'm not exactly what you'd call fat, but I seem to think I'm overweight, I have flab. I'm 5'6 & 135lbs. Even though this is a normal weight, its all focused in my stomach and legs, so yeah. Anyways, I'm thinking about trying out the Special K Diet or the Cabbage Soup diet. Do either of these work? And even if they do, does the weight stay off? This one girl said it did for her, but many say it doesn't. Also, do crunches really flatten your stomach, or just the muscles underneath, and what are some excercises I could do for the stomach and thighs, And what are some non-expensive healthy foods to help me eat better?
Thankyouuuu!

according to a bmi calculator, you are in normal range. aka, you're not overweight. (just letting you know).
the special k diet makes some people lose a few pounds, but it only stays off if you continue to excercise and eat well. lots of people i know have told me that the cabbage soup diet does not work, although it has a lot of vitamins and minerals that are really good for you.
crunches, to my knowledge, create muscle. it's like, turning fat into flat into muscle in an extended period of time. thigh excercises include squats and the excercise ball is really good for toning a lot of muscles on your body.
eating food from all parts of the food pyramid will definitely help you inprove the amount of nutrients and vitamins you get. this helps with losing weight. if you want to snack, snack on a fruit or carry a bag of carrots to school to eat during lunch. fruit as a substitute for fries, baked potato, chips, any of those fatty foods is MUCH MUCH better for you.
love handles - i can explain an excercise to you that worked for me. stand straight up and put your hands to your side. then, put your arms up like youre about to do a jumping jack and touch your right hand to your right foot (going to the side, not forward) and v.v. for the left hand and left foot. do as many reps as you want (usually around 25 on each side of your body) and in a few weeks they should have gotten flatter.
always remember, don't "not eat" some type of food. you need food from all parts of the food pyramid. everything's better in moderation.
