If you get accepted to any college, you can't really be picky on where you want to live, even if it is a small town/city. I live in a small town, and I've already made choices on which college I want to go to, I've chosen a community college then later transfer to a university, that would be much easier. I would love to live in NY but my aunt lives there and it's wayy too expensive. The gas, and the housing, the expenses for college are way too expensive for you. So maybe Pennsylvania they offer $300-700 in apartments. Some small towns in California, New Jersey shore,Ohio, Arizona, Utah. Those are actually pretty good rates, hope this helps! christina answered Friday March 16 2007, 4:38 pm: It depends on what part of New York you're trying to live in. If you're gonna live NYC, then it will be expensive, but like I said, it depends what part of the state, or city you're living in. Where I live isn't too bad, but I don't live in NYC. I live in Rochester. It's this city near lake Ontario, but the school's here aren't too bad. =) [ christina's advice column | Ask christina A Question ]
varsity_prep_xo answered Friday March 16 2007, 4:33 pm: well first you would probably have to get into some college in new york and live in a dorm... apartments are wayyyy expensive if you want a decent one in the city. if you really love the city, then i'm sure you can find some way to live there after you graduate but chances are you're gonna wanna live in the suburbs, just because its a better place to raise a family and cheaper.. a good college in nyc would be nyu (kind of hard to get into), and a good college near nyc but in the suburbs/ cheaper would be SUNY stoneybrook. hope this helps!
