Don't love back?
My boyfriend told me he loved me the other day.
And I froze because I don't love him back.
What should I have said, and what should I say in the future when I still don't love him and he says it again?

well i waz in that situation 2. i didnt say i love you back. instead id just be like "um okay" id tell him "look i like you but i dnt wanna hurt you, i just dont love you." how long have you and him been datin? and do you think your going to be 2gether for a while??? holla bac

If you don't love him, then the best thing to do is obviously not to say it back. When he says he loves you, just smile at him. If he grows concerned, just assure him that you still have feelings for him, but you are not in love at this point in your relationship. If he's a good guy, he will let you decide your true feelings on your own without obsessing over it.

If you don't love him, let him know you really care about him & won't use those words until you are 100% ready to. He should understand! Just whatever you say, don't respond with a "thanks." I know a guy who used to do that & to me, that's more rude than saying nothing at all.

You may not love him, but you shouldn't lie to him. Especially about something like that. Just tell him you really like him but you need more time. Love is a strong word, and you should wait until your 100% sure you actually do love him.

wow....why are you with him if you dont love him?You wouldnt like it if you loved a guy and he was with you and didnt love you,because you know eventually hell break up with you and break ur heart...Heres what you do you either give yourself a chance to love him and wait for a week OR you tell him the truth and tell him you dont feel the way he does...yeah it will hurt him but the sooner you tell him the better cuz if you wait..hell just love you more and youll tell him later on and the break he will have is gonna be worse!OR you can try to show him one of your friends that might consider dating him and mabey....hell fall for one of them..

tell him you just need more time, and your not in that time of your guys relationship to say that without being 100% sure. make sure you tell him you care about him a lot. but not love... yet..

I have that problem, too. I mean, I think I do love him back but I'm not ready to say it until I'm 100% sure. When he says it you can just lean in and kiss him.. it'll shut him up lol. Seriously though don't just freeze it makes them feel totally stupid. Tell him you have really strong feelings for him you're just shy about saying the L word! :) Hope that helps.
