Joan and Betsy are coworkers, but not in the same office and they saw each other a total of three times spread out over in a year. Joan is 5 feet 6 inches and Betsey is 5 feet 1 inch. Any way they were talking and Betsey said "I cannot get clothes in Blondies because they come in people size like you". Joan (who is thin) changed the topic. They spoke about other things. And then Joan said: Betsey you are always saying you are short, how tall are you" Betsey said "5 feet one inch, I have to shop in the little people department." Joan told her friends the story and they said "All Betsey is saying is you are tall and she is short so she cannot buy clothes for tall people. MY QUESTION: DO YOU THINK ALL BETSEY IS SAYING IS THAT SHE IS SHORT AND CANNOT SHOP IN TO MANY PLACES BECAUSE THEY ARE FOR TALL PEOPLE AND THAT IS ALL SHE IS SAYING?
I have an ex daughter in law who is 4'3". It is very hard for her to find "adult clothes". She has to shop in children's departments. They don't always have the same fashions one would expect an adult to wear. It is really frustrating for an adult. [ karenR's advice column | Ask karenR A Question ]

dont let this offend you and if it really does then ask *joan* if she meant it a different way [ leah87's advice column | Ask leah87 A Question ]
