well first off it shouldn't be falling out. either you aren't putting it in far enough or you have a wider set vagina. i'm guessing its just that you aren't putting it in far enough. you should be putting it in all the way sothat you don't see any of the tampon, just the string. all tampons come with very helpful instructions. i used it for the first couple of times i used a tampon. once you get it right it will be easy from then on. maybe you should try using the playtex slim fit tampons at first. i used them because they are thinner until i got used to wearing a tampon.

good luck, be patient, and just RELAX =]

Try using a plastic-applicator tampon (more comfortable to put in). It sounds like you're new to this, but don't worry, you'll get used to it. Just remember to relax while you're inserting the tampon- it's important for your pelvic muscles to be fully relaxed, as it makes it a lot easier on you. Also, try being in a relaxed position. You might consider using Playtex "Gentle Glide," or "slim Fits" tampons. I find plastic applicators to be the most comfortable. Keep in mind that you may not be pushing the tampon in enough. Once it is up far enough, you shouldn't feel it at all. Oh, and once it's in properly, going pee will not affect the placement.
Here's a useful link on how to properly use tampons:

your not puttting it in all the way!! push it in as faaaaar as you can, so that it might even hurt at first! but then itll settle. you shouldnt be able to feel it AT ALL and it DEFFINANTLY shouldnt be falling out. if you do it right, it'll be comfortbale!!
so just remember as FAR as you can! and you'll be good =]

you're probably not putting it in far enough, thats the only time it hurts. read the little booklet that comes in the tampon box and it'll show you how far to put it in and stuff.

hope i helped =>
