Weight is mostly due to the amount of water in your body. To lose weight- you will need to lose the water first. (Losing fat is a different issue) I would think that people who drink large amounts of water, it would make them urinate more often and also addition water in their system will come out with it. At the same time, it helps clean out our body's system making it more healthier.

Water cleans out your system & makes you feel full (& of course hydrated), making it easier to lose weight. :)

Water replaces high calorie drinks, such as sodas and flavored coffee. It also goes right through your body: you drink it and it comes out about an hour later.

Water keeps you feeling full, too.

Chances are, those people are getting more exercise and need more hydration.

Also, water keeps you feeling full and sometimes when you feel hungry, you're actually just thirsty. Many people also substitute it for high calorie juices and artificial drinks.

hey! people who want to lose weight drink water because it flushes out your body. Notice when you drink more water you have to pee more. And your pee is yellowish. and water is white. therefor your pee obviously isn't just water. It's also carrying out more nutrients and unwanted fat calories in your body. That's also why people who don't drink enough water, tend to later become overweight.
hope i helped!
