ok so there is this guy i really like, and he really likes me. we spend hours on the phone every night and i can tell we both really like each other. today he found out i was friends w/ this girl and was like OMG YOU KNOW HER? YOU TALK TO HER? SHE IS SO HOT! AHH OMG! and so on. it really hurt my feelings and i don't understand why a guy would say that to a girl he likes/is interested in. can someone explain this to me? i wouldn't want to talk about a hot guy to him. i just dont get why he did that

Guys to that to get girls jealous. He wants to see your reaction to that so he says it. If something he says like that bothers you, show it. Or maybe he just thinks your friends' hot, but he probably thinks the same of you too, or else he wouldn't be telling you.

i understand completely..don't worry..it was either a simple mistake and he wasn't thinking about what he was saying..or he's trying to see how much you really like him so he said something like that because he was wondering if you'd get jealous..personally i think its very rude but don't let it get to you..its YOU that he likes alot and not your friend..if he does it again stand up for yourself though! i hope everything goes well with him.

well, you could be right and he could just be saying this stuff to make you jealous to see how much you like him. ask him about it. just be up front and honest.
however, my best friend is a girl. i talk to her everyday, for hours on end and everyone says we should be together, but she has a boyfriend who she loves and i like someone else. it could be just one of those situations

guys do that when they LIKE you! he probably wants you to say 'omg shut up' because he wants to know that you like him and you'd get jealous/mad/sad. Just play it cool/laugh about it. You could just say, "Wow, you're pathetic." He'll laugh and the topic could be changed easily. Bu the chances are that he likes you and wants you to want him and be jealous like that. Don't worry.

The guy screwed up. Either its a one off sort of thing, or he is not so bright, you be the judge. He probably didnt think about it. There is even a chance he is hitting himself on the head right now. Odds are though he is simply clueless. People, particularly young immature people, can get that way sometimes.
I have had more or less the same thing happen to me once with a girl I was with, so please dont confine this sort of behaviour to just guys.

Honey, there are so many things boys do that are soo stupid. Boys are just stupid in general. It's their nature. But I know how you feel. I'm pretty, but in the average way, and my sister is just gorgeous. All the guys always come telling me how they want to.. do sexual things to her ;)
It really bothers me, but I just ignore it. Or say bad stuff about her so that they will think she's gross ;)
But obviously you don't want to do that to your friend, right? Just tell the guy to shut up. Guys are sensitive like we girls are, so he'll shut up without getting all wierd about it.
