AGE HELP

Question Posted Friday February 23 2007, 10:13 am

Ok so I'm a year older then all of my friends. And I don't want them to know. I didn't get left back or anything. I have my reasons why I don't want them to know. So I'm scared that if one of them sees my school I.D. They will see that I wasn't born the same year they were. I'm so scared. I really can't tell them the truth don't ask why please. So I was wondering if someone can help me make up a lie. I kniw lying is bad but I'm desperate. This tortures me so much!. I need a lie to tell them why it says that I'm a year older. Like I don't know maybe my passport did that when I came here I seriously need help please!

you can tell them that they have your age wrong in the school database because of a typo, and they had already printed the i.d. before you could correct it with the school secretary. you could even say that they mixed up your birthday with somebody else in another grade, and that they couldn't fix it until the i.d.s were already made. i know you said not to ask why, but wouldn't they figure it out if you have a birthday party? i'm a year older than my friends, and it's pretty cool... but whatever makes you happy. anyway, hope i helped :)

Do NOT lie. Believe me, when you lie, you keep doing it. It happens to everyone, because one lie leads to another, and so on. If they're your friends, then tell them the truth. If they're mean about it or anything like that, then are they REALLY your friends?

If they're your friends, then they won't care. Age is just a number.

You shouldn't have to lie about your age. I'm older than some of my friends, and some of my friends are older than me. It doesn't affect our friendship or get in the way. I mean, yeah some of them can drink & whatever, but it doesn't bother me. Friends don't care how old you are, they care about you, and your personality. Age is nothing, so stop worrying about it.

hey, well i really think that you should just come clean and tell the truth instead of getting caught in a web of lies. but if you cant, just say thats its a misprint.

Well, I don't really understand you're dread of them finding out, but nonetheless, the main thing I can think of is to simply say its a fake ID that someone made for you that looks super authentic...but that would only really work if you were pretending to be either 17 or 20...which you probably aren't...so you could maybe say that the person who made it for you messed up or something?

Sorry, that's really the only thing that isn't *completely* ridiculous that I could think of! I hope everything works out for you.
