gym

Question Posted Thursday February 22 2007, 9:44 pm

is joining a gym extremely expensive? i've been asking my parents if i could join it for a year or two now. i know for a fact that i'm not going to join it and waste it and not go. i'm athetic and push myself, but i can't seem to convice them to actually take me to join. i think it has to do with the price. i'm thinking about joining either by myself or getting my mom to join with me. i'm thinking about worlds gym, if that's a chain and anybody else is a member too- but how expensive are gym memberships usually around?

hey, alright so i suggest joining with your mom. that way you will be more motivated, not want to fall behind, and not quit. it will also give your dad a better reason to go through with this whole join thing, because his wife wants to join. if she doesnt want to join you could also ask a friend or a different relative to join with you, dont join by yourself for the reasons ive listed above. worlds gym has an international website, but you sort of need to pick your location and visit that specific worlds gym website to get more information. i visited one in massachusetts, where i live. it says that you can make payments to pay for the membership. i also discovered that theres fitness classes. there is a gym mission, if your parents want to read there.

so heres the international website:

theres where you pick your location:

you can also get a membership online.

They prolly have a website you can check out for rates (ahem, google it)

However, depending on your age - you can get a part time job at a gym and you can work out for free.

Depends on the gym and location. My membership for a year is $456 at the main gym i workout in but I train for free in the gym where I am a trainer.

World's is going to cost you a bit and be prepared for not just paying your membership fee; but the initiation fee as well if you're a first time member. If you ask me- that is an investment that will pay both you and your mother back more than you can imagine if you stick to it and really make something out of the situation. It's an investment in your health and wellness. Exercising with someone is so much better- particularly when you're just starting and you feed off each other's energy and enthusiasm. I lift alone, but I for example always take walks with my mother on nice nights after dinner and it creates a stronger bond because you're improving your life together. Understand that above anything else- it's an investment in bettering your and anyone who gets involved with yous life.

It's all on you to push yourself and make it all happen.
