when a person is in a coma, where do they stay the whole time?

Mentally, they are in a deep deep dream. Nothing can wake them up...no sound or light. It's like leaving the planet, as some people say.

Hey. When someone is in a coma, physically, they're in the hospital. Emotionally and Mentally, they are "sleeping". They have dreams and whatnot, and they can hear what you say to them, but they can't reply to you. Hope I helped.

P.S. If you know someone in a coma, I'm sorry and I hope they get better :]

Usually they stay in the hosptials intensive care unit.
