Eating healthier and excersizing is great when you want to be overall healthier, but since you want to lose weight, you might want to do something other than lifting weights because lifting weight helps you to gain muscle, which might make your weight go up since muscle weighs more than fat. If your goal to be healthy isn't focused on the number you see on the scale then you are on the right track. If not, substitute lifting weights with other excersize, like running, to lose the extra pounds.

its not really how much fat you eat, its the type. Lipids(thats fat) is part of the body. Its what makes your skin waterproof. Keeping your calories lower(around 2,000 calories per day) will help a lot. Make sure you eat breakfast, cuz it kick-starts your metabolism.
if you just started dieting, it could be about a month. If you've lost a bunch of weight already, you could take about two(2-3 lbs a week, times 8= about 20 lbs in 8 weeks). The reason is that at first you lose a lot of water weight to begin with, making you lose up to eight in the first week safely.
Well, I don't know if I helped, but I hope it goes well.

Depending on how much weight your trying to loose because gaining weight takes time my fitness teacher said it takes months and months through the process because if you do it healthy you'll get healthy results because not eating anything and straving yourself can do big damage to your body and health because it can cause you to get anerexia an bolimina and that is a disease where either you eat and throw it up later or eat very little and starve....

I think you should exercise regurally and do crunches and push ups everyday and drink lots of water and get lots of protein because then you will be gaining muscle and loosing access fat

dont eat fatty and greasy foods sometimes even cutting back on salads with dressing because ranch dressing and some dressing are high in calories and cholestrol...

so it might take a while but i know you will love your new body

hope i helped<3

If you are eating about 2000 calories a day while eating healthy foods, along with your exercise, you can lose a couple of pounds each week. However, lifting weights is not going to help your weight go down. Muscle weighs more than fat. Lifting weights builds bulky muscle. You may find you get thinner, but not necessarily lighter. Good fat loss exercise includes aerobic (keeping your heart rate at about 70% of maximum), strength training (to build lean muscle, not so much as to build bulky muscle), warm up and cool down (to keep your muscles safe) and stretching at the end (helps retain 19% more muscle mass, and protects your muscles). Swimming is good for this. It doesn't put as much strain on your muscles, but gives them plenty of work. Make sure you give your body a chance to rest. Instead of working hard every day, work hard every other day and take it slower the rest. This gives your muscles time to recuperate and will reduce bulky muscle build-up.
Your diet should suit your needs. For instance, I have a medical problem that make me carbohydrate resistant. That means I really have to watch my carbs or I will gain a lot of weight. If you don't know what diet would suit you best, I recommend asking your doctor at your next check-up. You should eat 5 or 6 smaller meals each day, rather than 3 good sized ones. They should be very balanced (like if you have a bowl of cereal, find a way to get some protein in there. Eggs are a good choice). Low fat is important, but balance is even more important.
Keep in mind that weight isn't everything. How you feel, your size, and your body fat percentage can say a lot more, especially since you lift weights. I currently go to Curves, and they keep track of all of that. They even have a diet plan I am following and I lost 10 pounds in the last 3 weeks. If you are curious about your measurements and body fat percentage, you can go to your local Curves and get a figure analysis. They will try to get you to sign up, but you don't have to in order to get the analysis.
