Prom

Question Posted Monday February 19 2007, 6:38 pm

I am 14;f and my boyfriend is 16;m. We are doing great, and I am in love with him. He has alot of other friends that are girls and same with me & guys. Recently one of his older "girl friends" asked him to go to prom with her. I trust him 100%, it's just I don't know her, and I don't trust the other people at the highschool.

I don't want answers like, "just talk to him about it" because I don't want to seem like the green eye'd monster. I just want to know, is it bad to be jealous of him going to prom without me? Any answers are greatly appreciated.

Yeah you don't want to seem jealous because one of his girl friends want him to go to the prom with her. So I will assume she is just a friend right? And they never had a relationship right? Well if thats it then there is probably nothing to worry about. And I agree with Bethany2007 about have a friend watch him. But not like so noticeable. You can do that but if he finds out somehow then he will think that you don't trust him but you do so maybe its not the best thing to do but that is your choice. It isn't bad to be jealous if he is going to the prom without you its actually natural to feel that way. But also the girl that he is taking to the prom might be a flirty type of girl if you get what I mean. You know how girls can life persuade a guy to do anything they want basically guys fall for that. But I hope everything goes well for you!

A lot of people I know take their friends to prom. It's simply to have someone to go with. And because prom generally costs a bit of money, nobody wants to go buy themselves.

If it really bothers you that much, just ask him what he thinks of this girl as and voice your concern.

I don't think it's bad that you're jealous. It's natural.

But remember, they're probably just friends.

Well if it is just a lady friend then you have nothing to worry about!!! BUT if you arent exactly sure and have 100% trust in the girl then of course you may have a few worries and that is perfectly fine i understand completly!!!
I am the a little enscure about things like that i mean if you trust him then u trust him!!!
I would get a friend of mine to keep an eye on EVERY MOVE that boy makes at this prom!!
i hope i helped you some what!!
*GOOD LUCK*

It's not that bad, as long as you dont let the jealousy consume you. And I know you said that you didn't want to talk to him, and that makes a lot of sense. But maybe bringing it up would be a good idea, i don't really know exactly what the situation is. You could even talk about it online, just to make sure that it's not just a misunderstanding.
just be like,
-so youre giong to prom with chelsea?
-i guess, she asked me
-oh, okay...
-why?
-i don't really know,... i was just wondering.

but honestly, i don't know enough about the situation, so the scenario above could really not work.

bottom line, it's fine to be a little jealous.
don't worry about it.
