Some reasons:
1. No parents for months on end. (it may seem difficult to see that as a pro, but trust me I've been to a boarding school)
2. Roomates (they stick with you through thick and thin)
3. Dorm rooms (they are awsome)
4. Mini Fridges, if you get one. (Wonderful for housing midnight snacks)
5. Better education (well thats an obvious one)
6. Smaller classes (helps with better education, more time with teacher if needed)
7. Don't have to spend gas money going back and fourth between school and home. (especially with the gas prices nowadays)
8. You make better friends at boarding schools, than public schools.
9. People are more accepting at boarding schools.

Gabrielle: Well Hun, I have no idea what you find attracting in a boarding school, did you watch ZOEY 101 a little too much? That's not what it's like. Well, you can say that there is no picking up and dropping off problems. You will have a better learning oppertunity. Make new friends that are better influences. And that they let anyone into and teach public school, but in boarding school they don't. None of those are true, but it'll work! But, I am so happy to see a young woman standing up for what she belives in, I am glad you are following your heart, best wishes and tell us if you get in. ;)

Danielle: Doll, just like all of my god-awful opinions on boarding school, I think it's really mature of you to decide onsomething you really want, especially since it's about education. So, make sure you make the list with a little presentation to why you should go. Make sure you list all the reasons about your better education and learning oppertunities. Maybe throw in some things about your higher education, say somethings about getting accepted into any high class college. Make sure whewn you tell her these reasons, don't sound like your whining or acting like a baby. Be prepared for the worst, rejection. Be prepared for the best also, acceptance, when your mother proudly says ok. Tell us if you get in.

I suggest that you think of the reason(s) why you wanted to go to bording school in the first place.
What makes it better than public school- whatever you can think of, just turn it into a reason.

EG
You saw it in a film and liked the look
BECOMES
Having the name of a boarding school on my CV will look impressive because so much of the public (including employers/universities, etc) are influenced by the affluent impression of boarding schools portrayed in the media.

Just dress your thoughts up a little.

If you aren't so good with your English, get a friend who's good at English and tell them all the reasons why you want to go to boarding school then get them to write them in a way that consitutes a reasoned, rational argument.
