May be it's time for you to upgrade your optical drive to DVD RAM. With DVD RAM you can always play and burn some of your data in to all type of CD (DVD+R, CD+R, DVD-R, DVD ROM, DVD Dual layer, DVD RW, CD RW, CD ROM, HDDVD)! Well i suggest you to have Sony DVD RAM If you are a PC user! as long as i know sony's is the best optical drive to burn anykind of CD, and the price is worth it but less in response than Plextor's , the second best is Gigabyte's followed by ASUS's
Please burn your data wth NERO's for accurate and CD's compatibility in any kind of optical drive on data(ussualy bundled together with SONY's, Gigabyte and ASUS)

From my experience, it's very difficult to create a disk that will play in a DVD player. You need all kinds of programs to get it in the right format, then onto the DVD, and then it sometimes doesn't play and it's always of poor quality. So unless you absolutely have to have it play in a DVD player, just put the files on the disk so they can be played on a computer. [ theymos's advice column | Ask theymos A Question ]
