1gb holds 200.
2gb holds 500.
and 4gb holds 1000.
but then again, it depends on the song length. the shorter the song, the more you can fit. the longer the song, the less you can fit. ]
1 gb: Roughly 250
2 gb: Roughly 500
4 gb: Roughly 1000
It kinda depends on how long your songs are. I have a 4 gb and it is advertised at 1000 songs but I have about 1200 on there. Another thing to think about is that each iPod isn't EXACTLY the advertised gb. When I looked on my iPod info thing (on main menu, click settings, then about) the capacity was listed as 3.6 gb instead of 4 gb. I don't think that really matters, but just something to think about =] ]
if your song files are AAC or mp3 and are roughly 4 minutes long... 1gb holds 200, 2gb holds 500, and 4gb holds 1000. ]
1 gb hold like 100-200 songs, 2gb holds 350-400, 4gb holds like 600-650. I'm pretty sure the old ones only come in 1 or 2gb ...
hope i help....
