It kinda depends on how long your songs are. I have a 4 gb and it is advertised at 1000 songs but I have about 1200 on there. Another thing to think about is that each iPod isn't EXACTLY the advertised gb. When I looked on my iPod info thing (on main menu, click settings, then about) the capacity was listed as 3.6 gb instead of 4 gb. xxSAANxx answered Tuesday February 13 2007, 7:26 pm: 1 gb hold like 100-200 songs, 2gb holds 350-400, 4gb holds like 600-650. I'm pretty sure the old ones only come in 1 or 2gb ...
