Sue options. Legal stuff, found a hit and run school bus dri I was riding on my motorbike, when a school bus driver hit me and threw me over. While I stood up to move the bike he told he will wait for me in the stop light to exchange identities, insurance companies license plates etc. Only he didn t stop, he ran away.
School bus driver knocks a motorbike down, while children are inside the bus and runs away.
Luckily, I got his license plates and I know who he is. I informed my insurance company, his insurance company, the police I ll get my bike fixed and I ll sue his ass.
How? Why? And what can I ask for?

without injuries or lost time at work these cases are hard to win. his insurance will pay for the bike and if the bike was totalled you may get some out of suing him so that you can replace the bike but typically money won in these cases is for injuries, pain and suffering or lost time at work ]
I agree with the previous answer in that you need to get the best lawyer for your situation. I just wanted to add that I am really pleased that you were not seriously hurt in any way. Please protect yourself always with the correct type of clothing and footwear. And sue him for everything that you can get because your limbs and life are precious and irreplaceable. Very good luck to you. ]
Your best bet? Find an attorney that specializes in auto accidents. They will not only be able to answer these questions, but defend your lawsuit. It is possible that your insurance company can refer you to some one if you can't find a suitable attorney.
If judgement is passed against the bus driver (and it probably will be) he will be responsible for court costs and legal fees as well as the amount of the lawsuit.
Hit and run is a crime. It is even worse that the hit and run driver was in control of a school bus with children on board.
Best of luck to you, and I sincerely hope that man gets everything he deserves for this careless escapade. ]
