Also, make sure it's nice and hot. Cold tea won't help as much as hot tea. You could also try fruit breezers cough drops. They're yummy and soothing at the same time.
Brandi_S answered Saturday February 10 2007, 9:52 am: I know you said no medicine, but have you tried Chloraseptic throat spray? It doesn't get rid of the sore throat, but, when used as directed, it numbs the pain until your throat heals. I don't know of any ways to make a sore throat just go away. It takes a little time to heal.
SilentOne answered Saturday February 10 2007, 2:01 am: Lemon and Honey mixed together. Add honey to the lemon until you can sip it from a spoon, then have a few spoonfulls. Get someone to look at your throat, because there might be something wrong enough to need a doctor's appointment. I don't know if you meant peroxide, ("perioxide") but if you did, peroxide is poisonous if swallowed, so do your best to only gargle with it, and rinse well.
Have you got any lollies with menthol in them?
Also, sometimes paracetamol or asprin will calm it down (sorry if that's a little obvious)

PunkieFreak4690 answered Friday February 9 2007, 11:16 pm: If you exclude medication, or salt methods, all it will really take is time. However, you really should try taking sore throat drops (if you have cough drops those work, too), and sore throat spray around the house if you have it. A glass of real, cold water from the freezer, or chewing on ice cubes may help.
I know you said no medication but those are effective ways of doing it, and those products are commonly found around the house. But excluding from all of that, try taking 1 tablet of tylenol and drink cold water. That really does help me. Sorry for recommending those but they are the only effective methods if you want it gone faster. If you avoid all ways of treatment, only time can help.
