scared out of my mind.
i've had my license two months.
today, i turned left on RED.

i have trouble telling left and right sometimes
i know, i'm 16. i dont know whyyyy.
so i wasn't thinking. all i did was look for cars. no cars were coming.
i made the turn.
when the turn was finished, i realized that i had just turned LEFT. :(
do you think im going to get a ticket in the mail?
IM SOOO WORRIED.
unbelieveably worried.

im 18/m and ive been drivin like a physcho for 2 years. i got cameras up in my area on stop lights and i cant tell u how many red lights ive ran, how many intersections ive sped through, how many non yeilding right on reds ive done, or how many lefts on red ive done. never get a ticket in the mail. you have nothing to worry about i promise you.

Some cities/areas, such as mine, have cameras at intersections for red light runners. If they had one up at that intersection, you'll most likely see the flash & get one in the mail. Just be careful next time & remember in order to turn left, you need to have a green arrow or yield to oncoming traffic with a solid green light.

If they have the traffic cameras on the light poles, then it is possible you may get a ticket. Don't worry too much; we all make mistakes.
Assuming you live in the US, try to remember that a left hand turn ALWAYS crosses traffic. Remember that when crossing traffic, you must ALWAYS go on green, never on red.
Also, you can make a right hand turn on a red light if the way is clear, unless otherwise posted.

probably not. i think most likely if that would have happened it would have been caught right away. just try paying closer attention next time. since you made that mistake once, even if you do get a ticket, you'll definately remember not to do that next time.
