Bottom line?

What does it mean when someone uses the phrase "This is boreing, but the bottom line is it's important." What does "bottom line" mean?

If someone says, "The bottom line is..." it most generally means, "The point is..." or "The truth is..."

the bottom line means like the most important thing like if someone is talking then they start going on and on and on about something then they say the bottom line is......... it means that that was the most important part of it.

'bottom line' means for example that the truth of the matter is... so it's saying like even though it's boring you have to deal with it anyway because it's important :)

The phrase "bottom line" could also be replaced with "the truth is." Used in the context you said, it could mean "This is boring, but the fact is it's important."

When someone uses the phrase "bottom line" is usually means that there is nowhere else to go or you have no choice but to do it. There tends to be nothing else after that with whatever the person is doing. For example the ultimate "bottom line" is that everyone will die eventually. Hope that helped.
