There can be a number of reasons why, but there's not enough detail in your question to judge from.
You really need to ask him yourself.
Maybe he's giving you the wrong message. And you anaylzed his actions wrong.
But you really need to say something to him, to actually get somewhere.
Like.. "It seems like you don't want to be around me at school."
And bring up what he does. Like if he doesn't hug you or whatever he does/doesn't do.
