orphans answered Monday February 5 2007, 4:41 pm: germany and russia had formed an alliance. and in this alliance it was stated that russia would not build it's armies too great. but the russians did anyways. so the germans began fighting them. but since the british were allies with the russians as well the british joined in, as did the french who were allies with the british. the ottomans who were allies with the germans attacked the russians on the eastern front while the germans battled on the western front. but russia was in a time of political turmoil and hardship. so they left the war in 1917 after losing a ton of soldiers due to their usage of outdated weapons and materials. thus leaving only the french and british to fight the germans and ottomans. then enter america, and suddenly the war ended. haha
Ender answered Monday February 5 2007, 4:32 pm: Because they were starting to build up their military and Germany didn't like that. They said stop in 12 hours or it's war. They didn't stop. [ Ender's advice column | Ask Ender A Question ]
