Kissy Tales

Question Posted Sunday February 4 2007, 11:37 am

MY question is just basically what age do most teenagers have their first kiss? And what age do they get their first boyfriend? I'm fom a respectable family and I don't want to spoil my fam's name..but I really want to have a boyfriend BTW i'm 15/f.

My mum had her first bf like 18 or 19! And this is kinda weird...but I don't think I can't wait that long cause I mean most people i know have haad a bf and a first kiss! Please answer!!

Distressed!

It's not weird to have a boyfriend when you're 18 or 19. I usually think waiting for the right person is best no matter how long it takes. Boys aren't so important. So don't worry about it, seriously.

You should have a boyfriend when you are ready and when you want to. Not because of your friends that have one or got their first kiss.

Sometimes rushing into these things.. can turn out bad. You won't get that wonderful first kiss and you might be with someone who's not as great as you thought.

It just takes time. You don't have to follow your mom's example. You can get one now or a year later. Whenever really. If you can handle it.

A boyfriend is hard work. Somewhat. Some guys like to talk everyday and hang out a lot. Boyfriends can take over your life. Just make sure you put your friends first and the boy second.

:]

If you feel you are ready, go for it! I'm 13 and I had a boyfriend when I was like 10 and 11. I think you're past ready to have your first kiss if your 15, because I'm 13 and have done more then kiss.

i think that waiting is a very good idea. i come from a high strung family too..(on my moms side)
i found that when you wait for the right opportunity you get a better guy who is more likely to please your family. you are right around the age that having a first kiss and boyfriend is normal :)
