getting back together
when a guy says that he regrets breaking up with you and that he's sorry....& that he wishes he would have tried to work things out.....well what does it mean. does it usually mean that he wants to be just friends or could it mean that he might want to get back together with you?

Depending on the guy. You know him....is he the sort of person that'll get back with an ex? I mean if ya'll are good friends after u broke up he wants to get back with u. But if ya'll rarely speak that'll mean that he wants to be friends and after a while become possibliy more. It could mean anything depending on the guy...n yeah as the person below said he's offering an open door...the desicion is pretty much yours!

I would think that hes was trying to give you an open door to see what you would say back. There might also be a chance that he would want to get back with you becasue the guys i know dont normally say that kind of thing if theyre trying to shake a girl off of their sent. You should ask him what he meant by that,to find out for sure though.

well if he says he regrets breaking up then it could mean he still wants the relationship. i cant really say what it means beacuse i dont know the situation you both are in. but for sure if your confused on what he means by this then talk to him about it. he might be sending mixed messages. so make sure you find out what he is really saying.. because in the end you dont want to get your feelings hurt by all of the confusing drama.
