how can you get cold sores becides oral sex
please explain can they spread through kissing?

You don't get cold sores from oral sex. You get cold sores by contacting a person when they have the cold sores. The herpes you get on your genitles are much different from your herpes on your lip, but are a like...they are both herpes! Herpes on your lip is called Herpes 1 which is cold sores. Herpes on your genitles are Herpes 2. Herpes 1 is safter than Herpes 2.
When you kiss a person with herpes, the herpes will spread onto the other person. You never know.

You can get cold sores from all sorts of things. For example; touching something someone that had a cold sore touched, kissing, using someone else's lip gloss/chapstick, drinking after someone, the common one from an actual cold, and believe it or not - STRESS. You can try to use Blistex (works great), or go to a doctor and have them prescribe medicines to fight off the cold sore. Hope this helps. ♥
