Sabine answered Friday February 2 2007, 10:29 am: What I think Alex is trying to tell you is that the tube that goes from your testicles to your penis and carries sperm goes through your urethra, which is the opening of the penis. It joins up with the urethra after the urethra leaves the bladder. This picture shows it, but ignore the severed vas deferens (this is an educational picture about vasectomy, or the big snip-snip).
So the urethra, or hole in your penis, can only be used for urine or for sperm at a given time. They use the same hole, but they take turns. Make sense?
