does proactiv really work? i saw a commercial for this other stuff called murad or something and its like proactiv but i heard it works better then proactiv. i want to buy one of them but i dont know which one really works.any advice?
The people that say it works wonders...they have good skin. I used to have horrible skin, so I tried ProActiv. It took care of the new pimples, but it wouldn't get rid of the ones i've had for years and couldn't get rid of. It basically CONTROLS the acne, it doesn't TREAT it. It isn't worth the money, but that's my personal opinion.
TEENAGExHEARTS answered Wednesday January 31 2007, 7:43 pm: personally i use proactiv and i'm happy with it but it hasn't made my acne disappear completely.
i used to have really bad acne and proactiv has helped to keep it under control. that doesn't mean that i never get zits, i do. proactiv isn't a miralce worker. but it is worth a try.
and don't give up on it quickly. it takes a couple weeks to start working, plus it doesn't get rid of the acne that most people get during their period. i still break out more during my period, but when i don't have my period my acne is very minor. plus proactiv reduces the redness caused my acne and it smooths your skin making it easy to apply concealer to any zits that you might still have.
bitterxsweet answered Wednesday January 31 2007, 7:24 pm: i hated proactiv. all it did was make my skin smoother but never did much for acne and i used it for about a year and a half. however i do know people that it has worked for, so if you want to, try it and see if it works for you! i have no idea about murad. It's expensive though! So I'd say get the trial adn see if it works for you, if it doesn't then don't order it again, but if you like it then great!
