No matter where I am I going... I am always late!!
I'm late for the bus in the morning and afternoon, late for volleyball practices/games, late for parties, and some other things in my life.
What are ways that I can make sure i'm EARLY, not late!
I want to reach a goal that says I'm always 15 minutes early for everywhere I go.
For example, in the morning I:
-Wake up at 6:00 and do my exercise routine to two songs I picked the night before, and they're usually 2-3 minutes long. For longer songs I only use one.
- I take my showers a night so I don't have to do that (and I'm not usually sweaty after exercising) and I go get my self ready with two more 2 min. songs.
- I read a chapter or a short part of a chapter of a book while eating breakfast.
And then I'm usually on time for school.
I don't go to many parties and I don't do sports so I don't think I can help you much on that.
There's one thing that might help with parties:
- Go to parties in groups so that you have people who you don't want to make wait.

The best things that worked for me are these:
-first off, get a clock in your room if you don't have one. One on the computer doesn't count.
-set it five minutes early. Not ten, or twenty, because then you're always thinking you have lots of time when you don't. But five is perfect.
-whenever you can, make sure you have what you need. You don't need to lay it out or anything, but before you go to bed make sure that you know what you're wearing tomorrow and where it all is. Showering at night helps, too, if you can-I recently switched to night showers instead of in the morning.
-make sure any work/assignments are done and printed out ahead of time.
-make sure you have a time schedule to follow whenever you're getting ready for something...like, first get dressed, then hair, then makeup, then out the door. Whatever you need to do, make sure you think about it ahead of time so you don't skip something.
-finally, ask friends and family to keep herding you along. Ask your parents or siblings to help you speed it up the morning, or have friends call you fifteen minutes before a party so they can make sure you're ready.
LadyH answered Monday January 29 2007, 6:23 pm: Well what are the reasons you're late? Is it because you're not ready in time, traffic, or you just take your time? I think the obvious answer would be to leave MUCH earlier. Wake up & get ready 20-25 minutes earlier & don't let anything distract or interrupt you from leaving on that time. It's really not that hard, I promise. [ LadyH's advice column | Ask LadyH A Question ]

Kate032 answered Monday January 29 2007, 6:16 pm: ohh my you sound just like me. haha. i have the same problem. im alwayss late. what i do is set my clocks a few minutes later than what the time really is. so, if the time is really 6:30 in the morning, set it so that it'll read 6:40 or even 6:45 so that youll think to yourself "oh no im gonna be late if i dont get up!" before you know it youll be ready to go and youll end up having to wait 5 mins for the bus!
you could also try setting out what to plan to wear to school at night so that you dont have to look for things to wear in the morning.. if this is a problem.
