Am I that bad off?

Question Posted Friday January 26 2007, 7:18 pm

I have a hard time going to sleep at night and sometimes i really have to pull myself out of bed. I knew that since last semester I missed maybe 3 classes because I was too tired to get up or lazy if you want to say that. So this semester I took the liberty of creating a schedule that gave me mon. wed. and fri. in class days and tuesday and thursday off. I thought I wouldn't have any problem just getting up and going to class. But, this morning I had the hardest time getting up and I didn't go to my first class but I made it to my next one 5 minutes late. Am I really extremely lazy or would anyone take a day off every now and then.

you need to set up a routine that helps you get to sleep.
suggestions on how to do this follow
1.dont do anything in your bed but sleep. if you read or something make sure you do it somewhere else.
2. No sugar or caffeine at least 3 hour before you plan on sleeping.
3. for the last 30 to sixty minutes before you go to bed do something relaxing like a shower or watching TV. dont do animated things like talking on the phone or messing with the internet.
4. make sure your room is dark and quiet and if there is noise in the house get one of those white noise tapes with sounds of the ocean and put that on when you go to bed.
5. make sure you get some exercise during the day to give your body a reason to rest
this should help you sleep good and if you sleep good, it should be much easier waking up.

haha i would say anyone in college takes a day off every now and then. don't worry about it, but i wouldn't take too many days off because when finals come around the stress will be really bad.. not fun! and it will probably take longer to graduate/move on with your life... but keep having fun/relaxing.. thats the beauty in not being an adult yet! hope i helped!

I am exactly like that.. well, I am still like that. I use to go to bed at 10:30, but now I go to bed at 9:30, and it's kind of helping. I take a shower RIGHT before bed, and RIGHT when I wake up, and that helps, too. Also, I put a cookie/brownie by my bed before I go to sleep and as soon as I wake up, I eat it! lol, it works. :]
