belly ring
does anyone have any tips on convincing my mom to let me pierce my bellybutton? i already have 6 piercings in my ears and she said no more after i got my 5th hole (cartilage).. i pierced the 6th one (other cartilage) myself hehehe woo but she didnt like it (that was like a year ago). so she said no more but i want it soooo bad. i already tried asking for it as my 17th bday present (in september). no. i tried askin if i can get it if i keep a job for so many months, get all A's in school, etc. no. i tried researching and telling her the facts/risks/care/faqs/etc. no. so basically whenever i ask i get yelled at to quit asking. ahh but i want it lol! any ideas? :D

SOunds like your moms not going to give into you anytime soon. The best thing i can suggest for you to do is just wait till your 18 that way she cant yell at you.

wait a little until shes not so mad. then, hang around her a little and check her eyes. if the pupil part in the middle is big, shes probably going to say yes. if its small, shes in a bad mood so you should wait until another time. then, go and explain to her why you want it so bad. dont say all your friends have one because parents never go for that theyl probably give you that "if your friends jumped off a cliff" stuff wich you probably dont want to hear. tell her your willing to wait a year, so she dosent think your doing it on a whim(sp). maybe offer to take one or two of your ear piercings in exchange. good luck!!!!

hey, im not trying to trash bishtuz`s advice but i wouldnt do that. that would just lead to trouble. if she doesnt want to let you get it done then thats that. it seems like you`ve tried almost everything to convince her. just wait it out till your eighteen.

Why dont you just get it pierced. Then dont tell her and when your showing your bellybutton around her take it out. You are going to colledge soon so then you can have it all the time
