The first time...

Question Posted Monday January 15 2007, 9:27 pm

My boyfriend and I have been thinking about doing it for the first time soon...you know, sex. I don't know what's safer, birth control pills or a condom, or where to find either...I really need help! I'm too embarrassed to ask any adults I know...please help.

Both is the safest, But birth control is more effective against pregnancy since condoms can break or come off. Birth control has a 99.7% effectiveness rate. But condoms do protect against STDs, and birth control does not. Personally, I choose the pill as my method of birth control

No one needs an unwanted pregnancy, so using both a condom and birth control would be your safest bet. Though nothing is 100% effective, the pill can help protect you against pregnancy, and the condom can HELP to protect you against things like HIV and pregnancy, though there is no garauntee.

good luck.

You need a prescription for birth control pills. You can get one from your doctor or at Planned parenthood. You can buy condoms at any drugstore. It would be a smart idea to use both in case the condom breaks.

Here are some websites with more information

in my city, there is a free clinic where you can go buy yourself and get free condoms. i don't know about free birth control, but they offer it. they probably have something around your town too, because my town is really small. the safest bet would be to use birth control {regulary, it doesn't take effect until a while) AND a condom. it is never 100% though

hey well most people use both, but im not sure if birth control pills will help you right away, you might have needed to be taking them more regularly.

and as far as i know you need to go to a doctor for birth control pills and condoms...you can find basically at any grocery store or drug store.
