Okay, 2 days ago I smoked pot for my second time ever and Im STILL coughing. My throat doesnt hurt or anything. But, I know smoking pot can lead to a common cough. Is it normal to still be coughing 2 days later. By the way, I dont have a cold so dont tell me its that. If it is normal, how long will it take on average to go away?
Brandi_S answered Monday January 15 2007, 11:42 am: First and foremost: Pot is an illegal drug. Don't smoke it. It is in your best interest to shy away from anything illegal.
If you have a persistent cough, you should talk to your doctor. You need to be honest with them and tell them where this cough came from. They can't treat you if they don't know what truly caused it. You won't get in trouble, because they can't tell anyone. It's called doctor/patient confidentiality.
I would say that it isn't normal. Those who have the "smoker's cough" get it from smoking pot, cigarettes, etc. It isn't something you develop the second or tenth time you smoke. It is due to smoking for quite a while.
