my teeth were very sensitive too, so i went to the dentist. they gave me some prescription medicine, and it has helped me so much. if you don't want to go to the dentist though you can use Sensodyne, i've never tried it but i've heard it works good. but i know a dentist could probably fix that problem :]

Eeeek :X

I was actually watching a show about this this morning;

Sensitivity toothpastes containing potassium nitrate can also help reduce tooth sensitivity. Sensodyne is the #1 Dentist recommended toothpaste for sensitive teeth and is part of the our Sensitive teeth Kit. These toothpastes desensitize the tooth nerve directly. Treating teeth with fluoride mouthwashes also can help reduce tooth sensitivity.After a few weeks of use the sensitivity usually goes away.

***Highly acidic foods (citrus, soda pop, tea) can increase sensitivity and work against the sensitivity toothpaste.***

If you cannot get relief by brushing gently and using sensitivity toothpaste, your dentist has several options for relief. Your dentist can use "oxalate" compounds that, when rubbed on the root, will reduce if not eliminate the sensitivity. Many dentists prescribe high fluoride content mouthwashes which can help reduce tooth sensitivity. Dentists may also apply "bonding agents" to close the pores of the tooth root.

Hope I helped! :)

This is happening because Whitestrips and other teeth whitening products, strip the enamel off of your teeth. Leaving them sensitive, etc.

I would use a toothpaste made for sensitive teeth, and talk to your dentist about this. He/she may be able to help you with this.

You can try brushing your teeth with a toothpaste designed for sensitive teeth. All major brands have them.. In the meantime, avoid foods that aggravate the sensitivity, like cold foods, sugar,..
Your teeth should get better soon. If they get worse, or aren't really getting any better, you should talk to your dentist.
