ok soooooo. im in modern world history honors.(freshman) i absolutely hate it. ok so first of all, we don't have textbooks. because there's not enough or something. and the teacher gives these question sheets out almost every night, and to answer them we have to find the information online, or we recently got these documents books that are so boring and hard to understand that i don't even bother looking at it. so basically, we have to find everything on the internet. which is COMPLETELY unfair. my friend who is in CP history, has a textbook and sometimes my other friend & i (who is also in honors) would look at her textbook to find answers. suddenly, our teacher has caught on and says how we're in honors and we have to learn how to generate our own answers blahblah. (other kids use the textbook too, see like everyone thinks this is retarded and hates her homework) i also think the way she teaches is bad. ok well what she does is give us the question sheet the night before she goes over it in class, which makes it soo hard to do the question sheet, cuz when we go online we're not sure what to look for and we're not sure if it's right. sometimes the question sheets take me up to an hour. and i just hate ittt! i have a test tomorrow and i'm completely confused! well what should i do? this is really starting to annoy me. it's soo unfair. just because we're in honors doesn't mean we're geniuses. what should i do?!?!

First of all, what if you didn't have a computer or your internet access were down? Are only those wealthy enough to enjoy computers and internet access allowed into the class? Since it's not a computer course, I'd say that the policy of answers only being looked up online is class discrimination. Bring Karl Marx into the discussion, if you can! That'll show her some world history. Second, I would ask her why the internet, with all of its misinformation, slang, and biases, is a better resource than a textbook. Are ALL books off limits? Or only that text? Could you check out a similar text from the library, like, for example, _A People's History of the United States_? Being able to find your own answers is great, but specifying that you can only use the internet is what tweaks me. And don't forget to paraphrase whatever you find in any book. Do not quote word-for-word unless you credit the author or you can get into serious trouble.
How to study depends on your experience of what kind of tests she gives. Does she want essays? Then study the stories. Does she quiz on dates? Memorize the dates using nmemonics. Tailor your approach to whatever your experience tells you is likely to be asked. Go over notes from class, etc.
