well i would say that you should ask maybe 1-2 weeks in advance. you dont want to make it to short and that person already have someone else or make it too fast and sound really desperate. i dont know much about this because the guys usually ask me but i hope that i could help.=)

I wouldd sayy aboutt 2 weekss or moree.. prob. moree! If you ask the guy/girl be like i knoww it's totally short noticee but i was just wonderingg if you would go to the formal with mee.. && be like i'll go get the stuff with youu! I know it's really short noticee! Good luckk .. !!=]<3

i would ask someone within a week or two so they know what they need to go get. and id ak them so they know how to match their dress/ tieto what youre wearing.
