Cold Sore
hey...i got something on the edge of my lip and it looks like a cold sore but im not sure. It could be a pimple but there no puss in it and it's just red. its also small. Could it be a cold sore? Does that mean i have herpes? (BTW ive gotten just a few of them before) does that mean i haev STD"s?

No it does not necessarily mean that you have an STD and generally you get them from kissing someone, oral sex, drinking after someone, eating after someone, but sometimes you get them because the virus is just floating in the air. I get them sometimes, my whole family does, but we do not have STDs. Also, besides abreva, a great pill you can buy over the counter is called Lysin. You take 2 pills when you first notice that it is a cold sore and 1 the following days after until it goes away. You might just have a pimple developing or it could also be a cold sore. If it develops a white bubble type scab and it itches or burns, it is most likely a cold sore, but it could be a pimple that has not gotten a head yet.

Oral Herpes are cold sores. This might have happend if youve had oral sex or kissed someone who might have had one. you shouldnt worry about it. unless it starts getting bad and turning yellow. then go to the doctor. another thing you can buy over the counter is abreva works good :)
