Juniors are either 11th graders, or in their second-to-last "year" of college.
Sophomores are either 10th graders, or in their second "year" of college.
Freshmen are either in 9th grade, or in their first "year" of college.
All of the college "years" are in quotes because man degrees nowadays are no longer 4-year; many require more, and your "year" in college may span over more tha one calendar year.
