14/f
im going to a sweet 16 on the 14th and i have no idea what to wear. The hostess told me that the decorations are lavender, and her dress is off white so no dresses in those colors.
I know I should wear a cocktail dress, but what color? strapless, halter, etc? Links would be appreciated, and nothing too pricy. I don't want to spend more than $100.
i have dark brown hair shoulder length hair, blue grey eyes, and light skin tone.
Also, make up&hair ideas?
And would it be ok to give like $50 or something like that instead of a gift?

For you, I would recommend neither a dark, dark dress nor a light, light dress. Here are some examples, but I think that you are fully capable of searching Google to find yourself a dress.

You could also ask some other people who are going what dress their wearing to get an idea. For hair you could do curls yourself. Or just Straighten it and keep it simple. And 50$ would be great for a gift, money is the main gift at sweet 16.
iloveaar answered Tuesday January 2 2007, 5:55 pm: try strapless magenta! and mm about the gift i think its better a gift buy some perfume or something you'll now she'll use cause clothes you won't be sure if she like it or did it fit her , i'd go to perfume . about the hair i think something like this will work =) [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)
and don't wear too much make up! just enough to look pretty and natural =)
