Gaining Weight and Getting Fit I'm trying to get in better shape and I'm very far from athletic. I don't do sports or gymnastics or dancing, nothing physical and I rarely exercise but I'm hoping to change that in order to get involved with sports. I'm 16 and about 5'3", 100lbs. I want to gain weight and muscle and improve my lungs but I really don't know how. How can I put on healthy weight and improve my overall fitness?

eat healthier and pick a fun hobby, like dance or swimming. like, hip hop. i mean just getting a job that you run around a lot in. I read a article about this girl who was running around so much, you know to classes and work, she lost weight. if you get a job with running around like waitressing you could shed off some pounds. Personally, you seem skinny to me. if you don't want a job, then maybe just 5 jumping jacks and eating healthier. ]
Run and do cardio. Start dance. These will help you lungs and endurance.
Do strength exercises, ie things that use muscles:
Sit-ups
Crucnchies
Push-ups
Etcetera. ]
