I've been in love with the same guy for almost a year. The thing is he's one of my good friends. I love him but i really only want to be his friend but its like i can't help but to love him like that. How can I fall out of love with him?Its kind of wierd too because I'm only 13.
My thoughts are that you can control yourself more by differing friendship from love. Maybe if you kept reminding yourself that he's just a friend and any further relationship could cause damage along the line, it might set in your mind enough to change your opinions.
Are there any qualities about him that wouldn't be good for what you're looking for in a boyfriend? You should come up with your ideals qualities of what you look for in a guy. Then look at his qualities truthfully, and set them apart from one another.

I say you just keep liking him the way you do and just act like friends sooner or later you'll like someone else. Or you can tell him how you feel and say you just want to keep being friends but that might turn out a little ackward. Third you can tell him and be his girlfriend. If you'd rather start liking somone else then talk to other boys and get to know them and then you might be falling for one of them! Good Luck! [ kiran's advice column | Ask kiran A Question ]

I've been in the same situation too...but I got advice from my 15 year old cousin who told me that sometimes you can't stop loving people because its just impossible...I guess its ok to love him but just act like his friend [ DancinHottie22's advice column | Ask DancinHottie22 A Question ]
