Brandi_S answered Monday January 1 2007, 8:16 pm: There is no birth control method in the world that is 100%, outside of not having sex at all.
Yes, most birth controls do have weight gain as a possible side effect. I don't think it's usually too bad. For example, Depo Provera on average causes 5 pounds of possible weight gain in a year's time.
Remember, that is POSSIBLE. It always varies from person to person. [ Brandi_S's advice column | Ask Brandi_S A Question ]
ImFakingHotPink answered Monday January 1 2007, 8:12 pm: Yes, you can. The only 100% way to not get pregnant is to not have sex. Period. Some people gain weight from the pill and others get sick and some don't have any physical reaction to it. [ ImFakingHotPink's advice column | Ask ImFakingHotPink A Question ]
linkinpark0651 answered Monday January 1 2007, 8:06 pm: You can still get pregnant while on birth control although it is unlikely if you take your medicine at the same time every day. Be sure to ask about medicines that could interfere with the effectiveness of birth control (antibiotics, etc).
